‘Hope’ is a powerful charity album initially launched in April 2003 in collaboration with The Daily Mirror, aiming to raise essential funds for the children of Iraq impacted by war. This remarkable collection features renowned artists including George Michael, Travis, Paul McCartney, New Order, David Bowie, Basement Jaxx, and many more.
The album concludes with a heartwarming rendition of ‘Peace Train’ by Yusuf/Cat Stevens, marking his first pop release in 25 years, accompanied by the Incwenga Singers from South Africa. As part of a series of re-releases by War Child Records, all proceeds from ‘Hope’ directly support War Child’s life-saving initiatives for children affected by conflict.

This is one of the best music charity albums I’ve come across. The artists are incredible, and knowing that the proceeds help children makes it even better.
