Released in July 1974, Anymore for Anymore marks the debut solo album of Ronnie Lane, following his significant contributions to The Faces. Known for writing beloved tracks like ‘Debris’ and ‘Flags and Banners’, Ronnie’s departure left a notable void, as Rod Stewart famously remarked that the soul of the band vanished with him. Before The Faces, Ronnie, alongside Steve Marriott, was instrumental in the success of The Small Faces, crafting hits such as ‘All Or Nothing’ and ‘Itchycoo Park’.
Recorded at his picturesque farm in Wales, Anymore for Anymore showcases a more pastoral sound, beautifully blending elements of folk music and country. This album features talented musicians like Benny Gallagher and Graham Lyle, bassist Steve Bingham, and drummer Bruce Rowland, adding depth to each track.
