Can We Do Tomorrow Another Day? marks the debut collaboration between Paul Simonon, known for his work with The Clash and Gorillaz, and singer-songwriter Galen Ayers, who gained acclaim for her solo album, Monument. This unique musical journey began during the lockdown when Simonon retreated to a quiet fishing village in Mallorca, where he immersed himself in painting and songwriting. Over an 18-month period, he connected with local musicians, performing and busking in the vibrant streets of Palma.

Upon returning to London, he teamed up with Ayers to further shape their vision inspired by their mutual passion for evocative songwriting. The result is a captivating collection of ten songs that encapsulate a rich tapestry of pan-European music culture. With Ayers’ stunning vocals harmonizing playfully with Simonon’s, they create a bilingual experience that weaves through English and Spanish lyrics.

This album traverses diverse musical landscapes, drawing influences from French chansons, Spanish pop, and traditional English sea shanties, evoking scenes from bustling Parisian cafes to the lively streets of Magaluf. The album features contributions from renowned producer Tony Visconti and a talented ensemble that includes Simon Tong (The Verve) and Sebastian Rochford (Polar Bear).
